Traditionally, to protect the softest of gems, pearls are strung by hand so that each lustrous bead is trapped between two silken knots. This ensures the longevity of your piece; no scratches on the pearls' creamy nacre, no beads escaping if the piece breaks. However, doing the knot-work can be a time consuming commitment for a designer.. At SiX SAPPHiRES, since I hand-work everything, I make that commitment. Tradition can be a beautiful thing. After all, what's sexier than pearls on silk?
